Democracy lives or fades by human hands. It is hands like yours and mine that can either tend to democracy or turn from it.

My unique perspective on democracy in decline

My lens is global. I am a U.S. citizen who has lived in 8 countries over 35 years, 15 of which have been in Germany.

That experience and my advanced German-studies education shape my views of global and American politics.

Bigger than any party, person, or nation—this is a fight for democracy, dignity, and truth itself.

Not against one man, but against the corruption, fear, and polarization strangling self-government everywhere.

For my mother's last years and my granddaughter's first—humankind, past present and future, joined in fierce hope.

You and I bear witness now, side by side. We are not rivals divided by color or creed, but ARE kin reuniting for a common vision. Forge loyalty to what holds true. Restore faith in law, in one another, and in the Republic that outlasts us.

To meet this moment i offer you this space.

Here the mind can settle, sink into substance, and rise again—educated, motivated, activated in defense of democracy. Call it part classroom, part war room, part sanctuary. We are clear thinkers and hungry learners, here to study how democracies die and how they’re saved. We’ll steady each other when the day’s headlines threaten to drown our hope.
